EndoSequence BC Sealer
While glass ionomer has been a huge help in establishing a true single cone filling technique, the obturation equation has further changed with the introduction of a new material. This is bioceramic
technology and the specific material is EndoSequence BC Sealer. But before we discuss how this specific sealer is changing obturation, we need to address some of the merits associated with bioceramics.
The first question we need to ask ourselves is, “What are bioceramics?” Bioceramics are ceramic materials specifically designed for use in medical and dental implants.
They include alumina and zirconia, bioactive glass, glass ceramics, coatings and composites, hydroxyapatite and resorbable calcium phosphates, and radiotherapy glasses. Bioceramics are also widely used for orthopedic applications, such as joint or tissue replacements, as a coating to improve the
biocompatibily of metal implants, and they can also act as resorbable lattices which provide a framework that is eventually dissolved as the body rebuilds tissue.
The properties associated with bioceramics make them very attractive to both medicine and dentistry. However, we must ask ourselves again, “What are the specific advantages of using bioceramics
in dentistry?” Clearly, the answer is related to physical properties. Bioceramics are exceedingly
biocompatible, non-toxic, do not shrink, and are chemically stable within the biological environment.
Secondly (and this is very important in endodontics) bioceramics will not result in a significant inflammatory response if an over fill occurs during the obturation process or in a root repair. A further advantage of the material itself is its ability to create hydroxyapatite and form a bond between dentin and filling materials.

DiaRoot BioAggregate
DiaRoot BioAggregate Root Canal Repair Material is a biocompatible pure white powder composed of ceramic particles. Upon mixing DiaRoot with BioA Liquid, the hydrophilic BioAggregate Powder promotes cementogenesis and forms a hermetic seal inside the root canal. Its effectiveness to clinically block off bacterial infection, ease of material manipulation and superior quality make DiaRoot the most innovative and unique root canal repair material.> INDICATIONS • Repair of Root Perforation• Repair of Root Resorption• Root End Filling• Apexification• Pulp Capping> FEATURES & BENEFITS: • Aluminum-Free CompositionThe effects of aluminum poisoning can range from subtle symptoms to serious diseases. DiaRoot is completely aluminum free and will not pose any toxic threat to the human body. • BiocompatibilityDiaRoot BioAggregate is more biocompatible than any other root end filling and repair materials. It does not produce any adverse site effect on microcirculation of the connective tissue. It also has excellent biocompatibility with the vital periradicular tissue.• Optimum Working Time & Setting TimeThe working time of DiaRoot is at least 5 minutes. Upon mixing DiaRoot and BioA Liquid, a thick paste-like mixture is formed. If additional working time is required, simply cover the mixture with a moist gauze sponge while unattended.• Excellent Workability and Handling PropertiesDiaRoot BioAggregate mixture is easy to manipulate and apply. Its ease of use will ensure that every procedure to be a successful one. • Pure White Teeth Colored PowderDiaRoot is not off-white, like other root canal repair materials. DiaRoot complements the natural color of teeth and all the ingredients are pure white in color.
