the procedure was done 6-7 weeks ago
I dont have any follow-up till now. I am planing to re-call the patient after 5 weeks from now.
I conatct the patient on a weekly bases and she is happy with no symptoms.

you are raising a very good point & thats what i usually do if I have -ve Co2 test , i always do my cavity test in such cases but in this situation it looks to me a classical sign for primary or secondary Acute Apical Abscess
beside the patient is in severe pain where i cant even touch the tooth
thus I had to give L.A

1) Did you perform any scaling or planing before the surgery ?
2) The surgery & root canal was it performed in the same visit ? or 2 visits ?

3) Could you explain to us, whats the difference between this procedure vs GBR+GTR and delayed single implant placement in this case? and what advantages do u believe you have gained in the procedure you had done in this case ?

:D the whole surgery was root planing
when i opened a flap , i found no obvious reason to do apico but i found some calculus like deposites along the whole root from the apex to cervical third thus I think the reason for the problem is both intra-radicular infection as well as extra-radicular infection

yes , but what is the defference if it was done in the same visit or separate visit ?? would you kindley elaporate more.
