Hi every one
last tuesday a patient came with severe pain
clinical and R.G examination shows tooth no 18 & 19 having irreversible pulpitis

I decided to go for R.C.T for both of the molars in one visit

the question is , is it good idea or not to go for 2 molars R.C.T in one visit ?

Thank you for sharing your Case with us
I have a Question

you mentioned in the diagnosis that the patient came with severe pain
what is your diagnosis for both teeth?
which one is the offended or the one causing that severe pain you described?

I mean by that ... you had time to do them both but what if you have limited time which one you will choose?

Thank you again for the Quality pictures & the nice cases you're sharing.
Good luck :)

thank you MHOWAIT for your response
I think both teeth are causing pain
bside that , i think it is diffulct to distinguish wich one is more than the other is such situation.
thus, I decided to go for operational diagnosis i.e removing the caries in both teeth & see which one will get pulp exposure.
:D both get pathologic exposure --> both need R.C.T

any way my point in this post is to elaborate one issue , which is the more canals you will instrumet means more Naocl working time for each canal while you are instrumting other canals.
:D I hope my point is clear as well as correct

Good case Dr.Alnasser,
I personally don't see any problem doing both teeth at the same time in a single
visit as long as both of them are indicated for RCT,and non of them was periapically involved.

thank you dr najeeb for your respond
what if both need R.C.T and both had periapical involvement would that change your treatment modality ?
