hi evry body..
im student in 5th year i have patient with substandard RCT in teeth # 17, 15, 37, 35, 44 & 45..in xray there is radioleucent in periapical area i did percussion test -ve response i will present my case next week i want to knw the new terminolgy of substandard RCT & whts my periapical diagnosis for thes kind of teeth?

the new terminology of pulpal condition
prior non healing R.C.T
the new terminology of periapical condition
asymptomatic apical periodontitis

Q) is there any swelling ? or abscess ?
take another opinion just in case i am wrong :D

As Dr AlNasser mentioned earlier:

1) your Pulpal Diagnosis corresponding to the new Terminology is Prior RCT

2) Now your Periapical diagnosis has more options according to the new Terminology one of them as Dr AlNasser mentioned is Asymptomatic Apical periodontitis in case you do have changes in the Periapical ( Widening PDL , Discontinuity of LD )
If no changes then it could be "Normal periapical Tissues".
