hi evrybody
i wana explain what happened to me today cuz im so disappointed
my patient is 17 years old came with large carious tooth #46 i removed all caries & it was restorable so i did in 1st visit pulp extirpation & next visit i took the initial working length in all 4 canals DB,DL,MB&ML. by apex locator & i confirm it by x-ray & it was fine..thn i start the insturmentation till i reach file30,the length become shorter by 2mm & i couldnt go back to the ideal working length (ledges is formed) :confused:
in this case what shall i do???
im in 5th year student

I think you transported the canal. You should've PreFlared at the Coronal & Middle parts of the root before starting Apical preparation.
Try to Pre-Bend the file (Size 15 or 10) & Re-negotiate the Canal.

I think this iatrogenesis should not make you lose confident in yourself...instead it should make you determined to prevent it from happening again...I think the lesson is : if you are using hand files....you have to recapitulate with #15 between files...and this problem will be almost nil if you use RNTFs.....I wounder why did not you do that? I am expecting you all to be using them in the 5th year.
