Dear Dr,
which is better for preparing the canal and remove the GP for post preparation:gate glidden or pesso reamer?
my second question is: which is better the flaring done by using the rotary instruments or that by hand instruments? How would that affect the obturation?
thank you :)

for the first question :-
it depend on your experience & the type of post you will use
I like to use pesso in general
however if you will use cast post --> then pesso is better b/c it will eliminate undercuts
if you will use prefab. post --> I like to use Gates b/c less structure removal
any way this is my personal opinion :)
----
rotary are much better than hand in flaring the canals b/c it has multi flare i.e 0.4 , 0.6 e.t.c
however if you would like to have a controlled flare at specific side i.e flare only on mesial wall only ,then hand stainless steel file is better
:) this is my opinion & one may disagree with me
Good luck :)

guys...I think using heat is beter to creat post space than using engin driven instruments...the latter have been shown to move the GP filling apicaly.
and I agree with Dr. Alnaser....rotaries are faster and efficient than hand files...
May I ask what do you mean about your desire to changes the learning profile to be more retentive ??
Thanks

Dear Dr Balto,
I meant to change the learning process in way that make the received knowledge engraved in our minds and not be forgettable especially the non-clinical lectures.

That is the story of my professional life Suha.....
you are eluding to what is called modular system in education, or problem based systems.....or sometimes it is refered to as blended education platforms.
These are the current educational approaches in lots of universities in the world.....I think we will catch up...but slowly !!
