AH-26 is cytotoxic due to formaldehyde release ( Not in AH+)

but the reality is AH+ still release formaldehyde but to lesser extent
as far as I remeber That AH26 release 24 ?? ( cant remember the measure)
while AH+ release 18??

so doc al-Nasser if both release formaldehyde >> which is cytotoxic ..

b/c they are used inside the canals not outside

their cytotoxicity is within 24 hrs. i.e they dont posses toxic effect when they are already set but during setting they do :)

THere are suggestions that the cytotoxic effect can infact be benificial for being antibacterial as well as causing macrohphage induced phagocytosis. This self degradation comes helpful when accidental extrusion occurs.
