According to Torabinejad 1992, The furthest root from the sinus among posterior teeth (7.05mm) is Maxillary 1st bicuspid.

Thanks for the follow up on my question. Perforation of the maxillary sinus during apical surgeries is not frightfull as before....sometimes, during an apical surgery in the upper PMs or Mb root of Uper first molars, we see the lyining of the sinus already after we excute the ostotomy for the surgical access of root tip....we can still avoide perforating them or if the worst happenes...there a management protocol for it.
